Experimental Studio Practice through Organic Material in Sculpture
I have visited some of the timber merchant around my surrounding in Jamshoro. There are many different kinds of wood logs and wood roots which were useless for furniture or any regular use in the house. I also saw a wood cutting machine which is used for cutting wood into small pieces. The purpose of small pieces woods mainly for kilns, brick fire and burning poor house stoves.
In this visit, I choose different log roots for my studio practice and in the meantime, I had wage clay at my sculpture studio. By this material, I will combine organic material to experiment with the possibility of them in my practice. In conclusion, I will document the whole practice in the form of photography and short video clip for evidence.
